One burner lights, the rest just click. That's a common start. Or an electric coil stays cold, a glass top burner cycles off mid-sear, a knob spins without changing the flame, or you catch gas near the range. Shut the gas off and call for that last one. We work on gas, electric and induction cooktops in Hartford homes, from compact apartment ranges in 06114 to wide slide-ins. Igniters, switches, valves, elements and control boards all get checked. Independent, all major brands. Ring us or drop it in the quote form.
Taking calls until 5:00 PM ET

We cover Hartford's 06103, 06105, 06106, 06112 and 06114 blocks, plus West Hartford, Wethersfield and East Hartford just over the line.
Both, plus dual-fuel and induction. Gas work means igniters, valves, orifices and safety valves. Electric means elements, infinite switches and relay boards. Induction means coils and power modules. Tell us which you have when you call us.
Almost always a part, not the appliance. A drifting temperature sensor is the usual culprit, sometimes the control board or a cracked element. We test the sensor's resistance cold, so the diagnosis isn't guesswork.
Yes, and it's usually a small repair. On gas that points at one igniter or a blocked orifice. On electric it's often the element or its receptacle. Isolated failures are simpler than whole-range problems.
That's most of the homes we visit. Rowhouses and walk-ups don't leave much clearance. We protect the floor, walk the range out carefully, and check for a gas shutoff before anything moves.
Call us and we'll give you the next open window, usually within a day or two. Morning and afternoon slots both exist. If your street parking is tight or you're in a walk-up, say so when you book so the tech comes prepared.
Call us or fill out the form. Describe what you hear, smell or see. Brand and rough age help. We ask a few questions so the tech arrives with likely parts on the truck.
Pick a window that works. Our tech tests the machine, checks power, water and drainage, then explains what failed in plain words. No jargon, no guessing out loud at your kitchen table.
Most jobs finish the same visit. If a part must be ordered, we tell you what and why. If the unit isn't worth fixing, we say that too, and you decide.
Ask these of anyone you let into your home — us included. Call and we'll answer all five before you book anything.
Describe the fault, approve the written quote, get it fixed. Starting takes about a minute.
