Three cycles and the towels are still damp. That's the call we get most. Sometimes the drum spins with no heat. Sometimes it heats, then shuts off partway. Sometimes it squeals like a belt on a cold morning. Igniters, thermal fuses, thermostats, belts and blower wheels all wear, and a choked vent line makes every one of them fail sooner. Plenty of Lowell laundry hookups sit in cramped cellars where the duct runs long. We service electric and gas dryers across all major brands. Get us the symptom or through the quote form.

We cover Lowell and 01821, 01810 and 01730, plus Chelmsford, Billerica and Methuen just down the road.
Almost always airflow. Lint collects in the duct, the hood flap sticks, or a crushed flex hose behind the machine strangles exhaust. Heat builds, the dryer cycles off early, and clothes stay damp. We check the whole run, not just the screen.
Treat it that way. Stop the dryer, unplug it or shut the gas valve, and don't run it again. Scorched lint near the element or a failing motor both smell like that. Call us and we'll talk through what you're smelling.
Yes. Gas units add igniters, flame sensors and gas valve coils to the list of parts that fail. Electric units come down to elements, fuses and thermostats. We diagnose both, and we handle stacked and side-by-side setups.
Often, yes. Belts, rollers, fuses and elements are ordinary wear parts on a cabinet that's otherwise sound. If the drum is cracked or the bulkhead is rusted through, we say so plainly and you decide.
Most Lowell calls get a slot within a day or two, sometimes same day if a route opens up. Tell us the model and the symptom when you call us so we bring the right parts. If parking is tight on your street, mention that too — it saves the tech a lap around the block.
Call us or fill out the form. Describe what you hear, smell or see. Brand and rough age help. We ask a few questions so the tech arrives with likely parts on the truck.
Pick a window that works. Our tech tests the machine, checks power, water and drainage, then explains what failed in plain words. No jargon, no guessing out loud at your kitchen table.
Most jobs finish the same visit. If a part must be ordered, we tell you what and why. If the unit isn't worth fixing, we say that too, and you decide.
Ask these of anyone you let into your home — us included. Call and we'll answer all five before you book anything.
Describe the fault, approve the written quote, get it fixed. Starting takes about a minute.
